Black Stars World Cup Anthem!

Hi!

Maybe you thought I had gone quiet? Absolutely not! I've been in South Africa doing some recording for my forthcoming album tracks at Sunset Recording Studios. I had a really great time! Did you see that picture of me on Facebook on a four poster bed? What a crazy creaking bed, lol!

But seriously, I have also been working on a World Cup song for the Black Stars. And I believe it is a really good song, a fabulous production full of energy that will fill the hearts of Black Stars fans with pride. The song is titled "Go Go Black Stars...GOAL!" and will be exclusively premiered on Live FM 91.9 on Antoine Mensah's E.N.T. Show tomorrow at 9am, when I will also be interviewed by the man himself who wants to know about my recent Pepsi Ambassador deal and other happening news!

Check out the official press release below to catch up on all the details. Love to you all!

xx,

Wiyaala

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE

Noella Wiyaala has recorded a song which she hopes will help boost support among football crazy Ghanaian's for the Black Stars 2014 World Cup campaign in Brazil.

The song, provisionally entitled, “Go Go Black Stars...GOAL!” is due to be released in March, but will be premiered exclusively this Saturday on Live FM 91.9 by Antoine Mensah on the E.N.T. show at 10 AM. According to sources, “Go Go Black Stars…GOAL!” is an upbeat number featuring tribal drums, big stadium chorus’s and three Ghanaian languages as well as English.

Wiyaala says the song was inspired by a chance remark from SuperSport’s anchor man Yaw Ampofo Ankrah after he saw her sing at a fashion show in Accra and encouraged her to write a song for the Black Stars.

Wiyaala aka “The young lioness of Africa” from Wa, is no mean footballer herself, having trained with the Upper West Girls team, she was much feared for her fierce tackling and ball-winning abilities in the midfield.

A former Vodafone Icons winner, Noella Wiyaala was recently appointed the Pepsi Brand Ambassador for Ghana in 2014.
